A remarkably rare early key-wound 30-hour long pendulum clock retaining its original, fully developed anchor escapement. Dating to around 1668–1670, it survives from within little more than a decade of the developement of the anchor escapement. The beautifully small proportioned early tulip-dial longcase clock illustrated here is a rare London 30-hour example and was made by Charles Rogers at Guild Hall.
