Key-Wound 30-hour

Long Pendulum Clock 

c.1668–1670

remarkably rare early key-wound 30-hour long pendulum clock retaining its original, fully developed anchor escapement. The beautifully small proportioned early tulip-dial longcase clock illustrated here is a rare London 30-hour example and was made by Charles Rogers at Guild Hall.  Made from around 1672 the clock has a wonderfully interesting  historic background story and provenance. Click here to read my article.
